Extracurricular Activities
After-school programs and extracurricular activities provide a richer environment to help students learn and grow. At Woodford Academy, students have access to a variety of programs and activities to explore their interests.
Programs:
Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts
The Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts of America are two of our nation's largest and most prominent values-based youth development organizations. The organizations provide programs for young people that build character, train them in the responsibilities of participating citizenship and develop personal fitness.
Men Organized Respectful and Educated (M.O.R.E.)
M.O.R.E. is an after-school group for boys in grades 4-6 that is designed to strategically support and promote measurable improvements in academic achievement, promotion rates, graduation rates, and college readiness, with an emphasis on developing strong character. The content of M.O.R.E. consists of Academic Support, Social Skills Development, College & Career Awareness, Financial Literacy, and Health & Wellness.
Clubs:
American Sign Language Club
Students can participate in our American Sign Language Club.
Community Garden Club
Students can participate in our Community Garden Club.
Sports:
Students in various grade levels can participate in a number of sports programming including basketball, football, soccer, track & field, tennis, t-ball and more!
Other:
Students can propose a club or group activity that they want to see at Woodford. We are always open to providing enrichment opportunities that interest our students.
